5lbs of sterilized hardwood sawdust for growing mushrooms. Sterilized in a growing bag, can either be grown inside the bag by mixing grain spawn into the bag, or spawned into another container. Bag includes a filter for air exchange. Sterilized and sealed, ready for use when your spawn is ready!
This material is perfect for growing most gourmet varieties of mushrooms including oysters, lions mane, pioppinos, and chestnuts, plus many others! This material is hydrated and sterilized, ready to use. Please note, this is plain substrate and does require grain spawn to achieve colonization, inoculating this material with spores or liquid culture will not grow mycelium, or will grow extremely weak or slow growing mycelium.
