Masters Mix substrate bags, perfect for wood loving mushrooms, proven to increase speed of growth and yield. This is a 50:50 blend of soy hulls and hardwood saw dust. Sterilized and sealed for you to use immediately upon receiving. Please note, this is plain substrate and does require grain spawn to achieve colonization, inoculating this material with spores or liquid culture will not grow mycelium, or will grow extremely weak or slow growing mycelium.

The ingredients for these bags are sourced locally here in the midwest. This material is perfect for growing most gourmet varieties of mushrooms including oysters, lions mane, pioppinos, chestnuts, plus many others! This material is hydrated and sterilized, ready to use. We do not recommend spawning this material to open air, it is full of nutrients and sugars which can pick up and grow contaminants from the air. The best way to use this material is to spawn your grain into the bag and fruit from the bag itself.
